We Welcome New Patients

Call for an Appointment

Dear Valued Patients,

I am writing to inform you that, effective Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time, my psychiatric practice—Michael J. Rosen, MD, PC (commonly known as Roswell Psychiatry)—will be permanently closing.

I am pleased and proud to say, however, that I have collaborated for the transition of your care with Zohaib Haque, M.D., who leads Atlanta Integrative Psychiatry. Info@atlantaintegrativepsychiatry.com Dr. Haque is a kind, empathic, and extremely skilled psychiatrist who is committed to providing the same high-quality care we provided you at Roswell Psychiatry. While his practice cannot guarantee the availability of appointments for every one of our clients due to scheduling and insurance limitations, they will do their very best to accommodate those who wish to continue their care with Atlanta Integrative Psychiatry. Because this is not a merger, Atlanta Integrative Psychiatry cannot be responsible for ensuring that every patient of Roswell Psychiatry is seen. Know they are earnest in their effort to support as many clients of Roswell Psychiatry as possible, and as expeditiously as it is feasible.

To be sure, all medical information will remain HIPAA compliant, and the transfer of your records will only occur with your permission.

This decision was not made lightly; while my passion for psychiatry and commitment to your well-being remain strong, I have determined that, given the changes in healthcare, I am no longer able to provide the level of care you deserve. You will see that Dr. Haque has the broad array of services, including Spravato and TMS, to provide you with the progressive care you deserve, with a deeply thoughtful and caring presence.

I will personally continue to be present in the next month to work with Dr. Haque, helping provide medication refills and assisting in triaging those in need of more urgent/emergent care. His office will begin to take appointment requests from our patients immediately; you will be able to continue to reach out to my practice to obtain refills on your current medications for a 30-day fill each through April 30th, 2025, at 5pm EDT (further information on this below).

Please note: If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, I urge you to call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.

Continuity of Care—important considerations
To help ensure a smooth transition, I strongly encourage you to begin the process of establishing care with Dr. Haque’s office, or another new provider, as soon as possible. There are many reputable large groups and clinicians in the area who can meet your needs.

Here is additional advice from the American Psychiatric Association regarding continuity of care:

Tips for Choosing the Right Psychiatrist:
• Verify Credentials: Ensure the psychiatrist is board-certified and licensed in your state.
• Consider Specializations: Some psychiatrists focus on specific areas like child psychiatry, addiction, or geriatric psychiatry.
• Check Insurance Compatibility: Confirm that the psychiatrist accepts your insurance plan to avoid unexpected expenses.
• Read Patient Reviews: Insights from other patients can provide perspective on the psychiatrist’s approach and effectiveness.
• Evaluate Accessibility: Consider the location, office hours, and availability of telehealth services to ensure they align with your schedule.
• The patient’s own insurance company if they are in managed care; any other local referral resources, (e.g., hospital referral desks, etc.) will suffice.

Sincerely,
Michael Rosen, MD
